Keith Haynes
CISD Superintendent

Visitors,

Welcome to the Cloverport Independent School District!  We are proud to have served this community with distinction for over 140 years.  At CISD, we pride ourselves on our small size and community oriented atmosphere.  There are few schools left in Kentucky where students can receive their entire education, from preschool through high school, all under one roof.  As educators, this offers us many unique opportunities.  In addition to seeing our students grow and develop from toddlers to adults, we have the enviable ability to perfectly align their education in a far more seamless manner than other school districts.  The transition from elementary to middle school and middle to high school is simply a matter of moving down the hallway!  Our teachers collaborate to ensure that each of these transitions goes smoothly and that nothing is lost along the way.

Despite our relatively small size, CISD has a tremendous amount of opportunities for students.  We offer many club activities, such as Beta Club, academic team, and Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP), as well as numerous sports, including basketball, tennis, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, archery, track, and golf.  We encourage all of our students to get involved with some form of extracurricular activity and are always open to new ideas to nurture their interests.

The Cloverport community is also a very large part of our school district’s identity.  We are very proud of our city’s storied history and seek every opportunity to showcase and enrich it.  Our students understand the importance of serving and giving back to their community.  The school often serves as a hub for community events and we are continually humbled by the people of Cloverport’s support for our school district.

We invite you to come visit us and see all that we have to offer.  Our staff and students will undoubtedly amaze you!

Sincerely,
Keith Haynes
Superintendent
