The WHAS Crusade for Children grant plays a huge role in our students’ daily interactions and actives here at Cloverport Independent Schools. The Crusade for Children mission statement “The WHAS Crusade for Children makes life better for children with special needs by inspiring generosity with our community partners.” Holds true with each one of our special needs students. Their lives have been enriched in so many ways thanks to the generous donations made to the Crusade. This grant has provided our students with the ability to provide: a van for transporting to social skills activates or field trips, health aides to assist students on a one to one basis in addressing their needs, a school nurse to assist with student needs, technology, and much more. Since 1981 the WHAS Crusade for Children has provided $995,645 in grant funds to Cloverport Independent Schools, allowing our children to not only grow and improve, but to have many experiences and opportunities that wouldn’t be possible without the grant.
