"Kentucky School Boards: Educate. Equip. Empower" Banner KSBA Banner (2019)

Each year the Kentucky School Boards Association asks that school districts send a banner to represent the theme of the KSBA annual conference. We would like to thank FFHS senior Novalee Brockway for creating this year's banner for the Cloverport Board of Education. It will hang proudly in the Galt House in Louisville during the KSBA's 83rd Annual Conference from February 22nd through 24th.

Wind Chill Guidance

As temperatures drop, we get a lot of questions regarding school closure. Here is our official guidance for wind chill advisories and warnings.

2019 Board of Education Seated 2019 Cloverport Board of Education

The Cloverport Board of Education held its first meeting of 2019 on January 24, 2019. Prior to the meeting, Kayleigh Chain and Jessica Greenlee, both of whom were appointed to the board in 2017, took the oath of office after their victories in the November 2018 election. Susan Hendricks will continue as chairperson of the board, while Joe Lynn Thurman will serve as vice chair. She replaces Keith Booty, who opted not to seek reelection to the board, in that position. The Kentucky Department of Education will appoint a fifth board member very soon.

Inclement Weather Procedures

As the temperature drops, we would like to take a moment to review our inclement weather procedures. When conditions prevent us from safely getting to school, we will send a One Call informing you that school is delayed or cancelled no later than 5:45 a.m. That same information will be sent to media outlets and posted on our district website and Facebook page. We will also indicate the number of the Non-Traditional Instruction day, if any, that students should be working on. Remember, all NTI work is due the following day. In the event of an early dismissal, we will notify you as soon as possible via One Call, Facebook, and our district website.
